Contrary to popular belief, the modern Egyptian Mystery Tradition is not based on elaborate and complicated ritual. For the Egyptians, their daily routine, politics and social lives were inseparable from the religious aspects of their culture. Magic was used by all levels of society but as far as the ordinary people were concerned, much of their religion was a blend of petitioning the local patron deity for help, and simple rites carried out for personal protection and healing.
Temple of Khem sets itself apart from many of the modern systems of Egyptian magical tuition in that the bulk of its teaching is taken from authentic texts. This is ancient Egyptian wisdom for the modern world.
Having satisfactory completed the13-part foundation course and been awarded the Certificate of Merit, students will be offered the opportunity to study further, with a view to being invited to enter the priesthood … and ultimately undergo initiation into the Mysteries.
Making the decision to study with the Temple of Khem us, in itself, an act of responsibility. Many initial enquiries fail to proceed beyond receipt of the Introduction because the would-be student immediately realizes that it involves a certain amount of hard work and study. Nevertheless, despite using a formal basis for ToK philosophy, there is an under-lying sense of bonhomie and good humour attached to the membership that is not diminished by the presence of the awesome god of ancient Egypt.
Our approach to the Egyptian Mystery Tradition really is Egypt like you’ve never seen it before!
"May you enter favoured and leave beloved."
